Web 2.0 Multimedia Blog

This year, I am taking anatomy and physiology with Mr. Colarusso. When class first started, I was expecting to learn all of the different areas of anatomy, such as how certain organs and organ systems work. So far, we have learned about many of the different anatomical terms for how to pinpoint where certain areas of the body are located. We have also learned about what the body is made up of, all the way down to atoms.
Anatomical directions are very similar to the directions of a map. Like North, South, East, and West, these directions are used to describe one area's location in relation to another's. Also, each directional term has another term with an opposite meaning.
One interesting aspect of the class is how we have used a dummy with detachable organs to put it back together again. The whole class would get a specific organ, and everyone would have to come together to put every organ back where it originally placed. Technology isn't used very often, however, we use microscopes and the projector from time to time.
